Perception_
:- Perception is the impression that others give us and what us project to others.
The perception process
-Sensory stimulation occurs
-Sensory stimulation organized
-Sensory stimulation interpreted-evaluated
There are 5 processes influencing perception :
implicit personally theory-: have our own opinion about someone's characteristic that go with other characteristics. (known as Halo Effect)
the self-fulfilling prophecy -: someone make prediction and then proceeds to fulfill it. (known as Pygmalion Effect)
primacy-recency -: use early information to provide our self with general idea of what a person like and then use later information to make this general idea more specific.
consistency-: have a strong tendency to maintain balance or consistency among perceptions.
attribution-: who the person is or because of the situation.(why they do and what they do?)
